They made some great suggestions at resolving previous issues we had with a cement guy who walked away. They fixed everything and re-sealed our crumbling cold room as well as laid a new foundation on our existing slab. The team works quickly, cleans up, and came back to do follow-up checks.
From the initial consult to job completion we were over-the-top impressed. They were on time, clean (wrapped up plants, covered our deck), and accessible for any questions. Their entire team was busy for the entire 3 days — a sign that they were working in sync and incredibly professional.
The team was honest and knowledgeable — explained in detail the best option for my stairs to look brand new. The employees were precise and paid attention to detail, cleaned up after themselves, and were extremely polite.
I am glad I hired this company. They are very professional and worked continuous days until the job was complete. Very diligent and clean while working on site. I highly recommend their services.
The job was professionally done and our house looks great. The work was finished on time with excellent results. They came back to finish all the touch ups and adjustments — we are 100% satisfied.
4 signs your foundation needs new parging
Parging is your foundation's raincoat. Once it cracks, water gets in behind it. Rural and lakefront mix with the longest drive from our Woodbridge shop — still regularly serviced, still same in-house crews.
Hairline or spider cracks
Small cracks let water behind the coating. Every freeze-thaw cycle opens them wider.
Flaking or falling chunks
Old parging that sounds hollow or is popping off has lost its bond to the wall.
Exposed block or concrete
Bare foundation absorbs moisture and starts to spall — the wall itself is now taking damage.
Damp basement walls
Efflorescence, musty smells or wet spots inside often start with a failed exterior coat.
Seven steps. No shortcuts.

Why ours lasts — and the cheap job falls off
Most parging fails because it was slapped on a dirty wall with no bond and no mesh. Scroll to take ours apart.

Prep & clean
Loose and failed parging removed down to sound material, wall washed and cracks opened up.

Base coat
Polymer-modified cement base, built up to an even thickness across the whole wall.

What is foundation parging?
Parging is a cement-based coating applied to the exposed part of your foundation above grade. It protects the block or poured concrete from water and freeze-thaw damage and gives the base of the house a clean, finished look.
How long does parging take?
Most homes take 2–3 days, including removing old parging, applying the mesh-reinforced base coat and the finish coat. Larger or heavily damaged foundations can take longer — your quote will say exactly how long.
Why does parging crack and fall off?
Usually because it was applied over a dirty or crumbling surface, without a bonding coat, or without mesh. Water gets behind it, freezes, and pushes it off the wall. Our system fixes all three causes.
Can you parge over old parging?
Only if the old coat is fully sound. In most cases we remove loose or hollow-sounding parging first — putting new parge over failing material just means it falls off with the old coat.
What time of year can you parge?
Parging needs above-freezing temperatures while it cures, so we work from spring through late fall. Book early in the season — slots fill up fast.
Does parging stop basement leaks?
Parging protects the above-grade part of the foundation and stops water getting into the block from outside. Leaks below grade need waterproofing or crack injection — we'll tell you honestly which one you need.
How much does foundation parging cost?
It depends on the length and height of exposed foundation, how much old parging has to come off, and the finish you want. We give free fixed-price quotes — send a few photos and we can usually quote the same day.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — every parging job comes with a minimum 5-year written warranty on labour and materials.
